The Get Foreign Keys from Database dialog box is designed to download the existing foreign key constraint information from the target Oracle schema. This function normally only needs to be done once - when the Masking Set is first designed - however, the foreign key constraint information can be refreshed at any time using the Refresh Foreign Key Information button on the Data Masker Misc. Setup tab.
The foreign key information is stored in a separate file (given the .fkcon extension) and associated with the Masking Set. This avoids the need to download the foreign key constraint information each time the Data Masker loads the Masking Set. More information on the structure of Masking Sets can be found in the Data Masker Masking Set Reference help file.
Important Note: If the download of the constraint information seems to take a long time try setting the Data Dictionary Optimizer Hint on the Rule Tools Tab before activating this dialog box.

The Get Foreign Keys from Database dialog box is very easy to use. There is a large button located centrally toward the bottom of the dialog box. Press the Get the Foreign Keys button to download the foreign key constraints from the remote schemas. The foreign key constraints will be automatically downloaded and added to the Masking Set. The progress bars at the bottom of the dialog box indicate the progress of the download and the Stop button can be used at any time to interrupt a download in progress.
If new foreign key constraints have been added to the schema you can download them at any time. Duplicate information will always be ignored.
