Hardware and Software System Requirements

The Data Masker for SQL Server data masking software consists of two components: client software which builds and controls the execution of masking rules and a DLL located in the Binn directory of the SQL Server instance. All aspects of the installation and configuration are automated - a discussion of the architecture can be found in the Quick Start Guide.

The PC system requirements of the Data Masker for SQL Server software are minimal. Most reasonably new Pentium PC's will be sufficient.

  • .NET v1.1 Common Language Runtime (CLR)

The Data Masker for SQL Server software supports SQL Server versions 7, 2000 and 2005 on all platforms on which those databases run.
