A Data Masker Masking Set can contain four types of rule. Each type of Masking Rule (Crypto,
Substitution,
Shuffle,
Insertion)
is designed to perform a different function. The

on the uses and merits of each type of rule.
The Data Masker New Rule Type Dialog Box
This dialog box is an intermediate step in the manual creation of a new rule.
Select the button appropriate to the
rule type you wish to create and a new dialog box will appear that
contains dedicated facilities to build and configure that
type of rule. Also available on the rule creation dialog box is
a Help button providing specific information on that rule type.
